Staying at Gibaland

We offer a unique range of accommodation at Gibaland, suitable for a weekend away, wedding stay and children’s parties. Our facilities have 6 showers and separate male and female bathrooms, with a vanity area in each. We are unable to offer self catering, however Gibaland offers fully serviced braai facilities at the TeePee Village, please enquire about this when booking along with meals and specials for our guests cooked with love from Cafe Umfula. 

TeePee Village

Luxury TeePee Village with bonfire and Braai facilities

We have a total of 5 luxury tents within our little teepee village and each is set up with a double bed and 2 single beds. There’s a big bonfire pit in the center for you to roast marshmallows and enjoy the beautiful surroundings while you braai or eat food from Cafe Umfula. It’s glamping at its best. Our village has an ablution block with 5 showers and 9 toilets, along with a vanity area in each space to get ready in.

This space is great for accommodation during your events, or just to come stay for a weekend. With 2 waterfalls, over 4 hiking trails, horse trails and more, you and your family or friends are bound to make some great memories while visiting Gibaland. Camping

We offer a wide range of camp spaces for all occasions, bring your own tent or hire one of ours.

We offer camp sites as well as glamping options. Perfect for a family looking to have a camping trip, or schools looking to offer a unique camping experience. 

Glamping

We have a select number of tents available to you. These tents include a 2 man tent, 2 sleeping bags, 2 mattresses, 2 pillows, set up and ready for your camping experience amidst the Giba Gorge.

What you need to know

One free wheel barrow of wood, R80.00 a wheel barrow there after. All fires within the gorge are to be maintained by a team member of Gibaland, please do not make your own fires in the gorge.

Food

We are not self-catering however the TeePee Village and Camp site area have a braai facility that can be setup and cleaned for you at a small fee. 

Cafe Umfula is open to assist you with your food and beverage requirements. We also offer a package food voucher where you get Dinner & Breakfast, we charge R200.00 per adult and R150.00 per child. Dinner is a home cooked special of the day our chef is preparing for the evening and breakfast is ordered off the Cafe Umfula menu.

Hiking, Mountain Biking & Trail Running

Explore nature like never before with our many trails that lead you through the Giba Gorge conservancy to picturesque scenery, waterfalls and so much more waiting to be explored.

Quad Biking

We have 4 quad bikes ready and waiting to take you on an exciting adventure through the gorge. If you have children, they can enjoy their own dedicated quad track featuring 70cc quad bikes designed just for them.

RV Cars and Speed Boats

Dont forget to bring your hand control boats and cars. Our space hosts 2 dams and plenty of RV space for you to enjoy your hobbie on your holiday.
